About This Place

Nestled in the heart of Plymouth, WI, Chris & Sue's is a charming American restaurant that perfectly balances hearty flavors with an inviting, down-to-earth atmosphere. Known for its impeccable service and a menu that may be modest in size but rich in taste, this local gem has earned its reputation as a must-visit dining spot within a 10-15 mile radius.

The cuisine at Chris & Sue's is a celebration of classic American fare, delivered with skill and care that truly lets each ingredient shine. Start your meal by indulging in their soup & salad selections — the Seafood Chowder and Baked French Onion soups are hearty and comforting, with silky textures and robust flavors that warm both body and soul. The salad bar is generously stocked and surprisingly affordable, offering a fresh, crisp contrast to the rich entrees.

For the main course, the menu showcases a variety of mouthwatering options. The 12 oz Ribeye steak, while occasionally a bit overcooked, bursts with juicy, savory notes and grilling aromas that satisfy any steak lover’s cravings. Equally alluring is the Pretzel-Crusted Chicken, a distinctive dish that combines a crispy, golden crust with tender, flavorful meat inside — a delightfully satisfying balance of texture and taste.

Seafood enthusiasts will appreciate the expertly breaded Haddock and Perch, both tender and flaky beneath their perfectly seasoned crust. Fried offerings like Breaded Shrimp and the Combo Platter present a delectable variety for those wanting a sampling of the best. Sandwich lovers can’t go wrong with the Haddock or Perch Sandwiches, where fresh fish meets fresh baked bread in a symphony of flavors.

What truly makes Chris & Sue’s stand out are the personal touches and the warm hospitality. Customers like Matt Brophy praise the friendly, welcoming vibe where Sue always makes time to say hello, and Chris’s occasional kitchen appearances add a homey charm to the experience. The staff’s friendliness and attentiveness make every guest feel appreciated, never like just another number.

Diners consistently highlight the quality of the prime rib, with one reviewer calling it "one of the best pieces of prime rib" they’ve had in a long time—rich, tender, and packed with flavor. Even families feel at home here, as Kelly Brunmeier shares how well her kids enjoyed the broasted chicken and shrimp tacos, underscoring the restaurant’s ability to satisfy a range of tastes with genuine, comforting flavors.

Whether you’re stopping by for a casual lunch or a relaxed dinner, Chris & Sue’s offers a cozy, unpretentious setting where the focus remains firmly on serving great American classics with care and quality. Came on a Friday. Haddock fish fry was great. The breading on it is awesome. Also had the 12oz Ribeye with soup n salad bar. Was a bit overcooked but had great flavor. Salad bar was affordable and plentiful. Waitress was newer from what she said but did an excellent job. Would.be interested in seeing them expand the menu a bit. They do a great job

Excellent on all counts. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere and great food. I had one of the best pieces of prime rib that I've had in a while. I will be coming back. Only wish I would have found this place sooner.

We heard about this restaurant and decided to try it out. We sat at the bar because there was a wait and ordered 2 drinks. My wife's drink was made incorrectly, but she just drank it anyway. Once we were seated, we ordered the perch and the haddock with a baked potato. My fish had bones in it, and my baked potato was luke warm. The waitress was very nice but had to ask for water, otherwise we wouldn't have had anything to drink. Maybe it was just unfortunate luck, but it wasn't what I thought it would be.
